A FANATICAL DEVOTION TO USEFULNESS

  • Named in honor of my brilliantly resourceful & thrift-loving foremothers, GrandMother Goods is a clothing and lifestyle brand that focuses on providing you with sustainably fun options to wear, use, & love.

  • Hi! I’m Stef, and I LOOOOVE secondhand shopping. I also love making things, usually out of other things…that I found at a secondhand store. That’s why I started GrandMother Goods.

  • The only thing more fun than creating for a living is being surrounded by other creative souls! Come meet my brilliant collaborators who also love turning trash into treasure.

GrandMother Goods is here to make your life easier by offering more options for you to live, dress, and think more sustainably.

20/20 VISION

Meet your Maker[s]

The only thing more fun than creating for a living is being surrounded by other creative souls.
GrandMother Goods strives to be a place where sustainable fashion can be explored in any number of ways; where the only limit is imagination…& time!
I don’t have nearly enough hours in the day to realize all the gorgeous ways that secondhand textiles can be re-imagined into something “new” to offer to the world. Fortunately, I know a few people who also like to make trash into treasure.
These are their stories.

  • First Understudy, Seamstress, Supermodel

A passion for collecting yarn and a desire to stay as toasty & chic as possible during the cold New York winter months lead me to compulsively knitting balaclavas. There are only so many balaclavas one lass can have in her winter collection before it starts to feel like an addiction, so after receiving interest and encouragement from friends, I made a little collection of noggin sweaters to share with the world! In line with GMother values, I hunt for pre-loved materials for my fabrications!

  • Creator, Vintage Lover, General Badass

My goal is to create unique, one-of-a-kind, pieces that inspire and enliven the people who wear them. I use primarily second hand fabrics and scraps and focus on intentional designs that can be worn multiple ways.

Designing with found fabrics in limited amounts is a fun challenge and creatively satisfying. I love the idea of using materials that have already been around and had a life of their own. It gives me joy to re-imagine them into something new while saving them from the dishonorable fate of waste.

  • Multidisciplinary Artist, Meme Lover, Zero Waste Zealot

I have always loved fashion, but the pandemic made me get into the art for real. Nearly OCD about fabric & thread waste, I try to save every bit of leftover materials for later & love upcycling clothing that's no longer usable due to discoloration or tears.

For my designs, I prefer sticking to natural fibers that feel good on the skin. My creation process often takes me back to my childhood, which means you will see a lot of references to princesses, fantasy, the 90s & y2k fashion in my pieces. As a dancer, I try to make my clothes practical for moving, because I believe you should never be restricted by what you wear.
